Today's 2 and 3 yr old storytime was getting ready for Valentine's Day! Besides making a "LOVE" sign ( love in big words, decorated with small hearts) and getting Elmo valentines, the kids listen to Mouse First Valentine by Lauren Thompson and A Kiss Means I Love You by Kathryn M. Allen. We also did a few Valentine's Day fingerplays ( plus winter) and practiced our shapes.
Here are some of the songs we did today.

Your legs start to wiggle (put feet in the air and shake)
You look all around for someone to hug (move eyes back and forth)
What can you do (shrug shoulders)

Our next Storytime for 2 and 3 yr olds is February 18 at 10 am ( in the NEW children's programming room all the way in the back of the NEW children's department. We're still downstairs, but in the former Audio-Visual section. Please pardon our dust because we are still under construction and we only have the elevator as our mode of getting from here to there.)
Happy Valentine's Day and keep reading!
